Hot Mutual Funds (HMF) publishes highly ranked Mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).

The idea is simple; invest in Mutual Funds/ETFs with the top most returns in their Category till they are no longer a top performer in their Category. This is a safe and long term strategy that is guaranteed to beat the market year over year no matter the returns of the market.

Which Funds are considered for Hot Mutual Funds recommendations?
1. No Load Funds
2. Initial Investment less than $5,000

How do I follow Hot Mutual Funds recommendations?
1. Pick the Mutual fund/ETF Categories based on your risk level and to establish a well rounded portfolio. The Morning Star Category Returns will help you pick the categories based on returns.

2. Look at the Hot Mutual Funds recommendation for those categories. Remember Diversification = Reduced Risk, so you should invest in different funds in several categories.

3. If a fund that you own is no longer recommended by Hot Mutual Funds then you should monitor it every month. If the fund consistently underperformes the benchmark then you should sell the fund. You can research the Fund’s performance vs. benchmark on the Yahoo Finance’s Performance link.
